Iroko is a magnificent jumper from a superb sports horse lineage. Iroko's sire is the famous Pilot. Pilot himself descends from such greats as Graphit, Grande, Duellant and PluchinoXX. With winnings of 1.7 million DM, he is sometimes called the jumper progenitor of the nineties, claiming a top ranking in the German jumping index with an amazing 193 points! Iroko's dam is a state premium mare, the highest conformation qualification for mares in Germany, the same also having been awarded to grand-dam Ricke. Granddam Ricke is a daughter of the famous Remus I, son of the legendary Radetzky who won at international S-level dressage competitions under Mr. Kukuck. Remus has become famous for his progeny such as the top dressage stallions Romandour II and Renoir.
At his performance test in Ermelo, Iroko proved to rank amongst the best of his year and received two 9's in both free jumping and jumping under saddle. Iroko has jumped internationally with a great deal of success. He showed his talent by finishing second in the Grand Prix of Zuidlaren, 1st in the mini Grand Prix of Leeuwarden and 4th in Verona. Iroko leads the KWPN show jumping index with 177 points, both in 2000 and in 2001. Iroko sired the jumping phenomenon: The Fly, ridden by Tod Minikus. This pair won the overall Championships for 6 year old horses. His offspring are also proving themselves in dressage. He sired Milton, ridden by Kathleen Raine and Nashua, ridden by Gerdine Maree.
