"Furianna"
This lovely mare has similar breeding, looks and movement as my all time favorite mare: Scarlett. Furianna's sire is Fascination by the legendary Furioso II and out of an Absatz dam line mare. Fascination is one of the leading sires of premium foals registered with the Oldenburg Verband in the United States. He has sired two approved sons including the top scoring stallion at the 1994 100 day stallion test, Flambeau.
Furianna was an 8.5 premium foal. She was later presented as a three year old and once again was rated as a premium mare.
Furianna has an exemplary personality and is amazing to watch move. Her trot is extremely floaty with a fabulously free shoulder. Her canter is big, balanced and soft. She amazed me with her keen eye as she effortlessly free jumped for fun out in the arena and never missed a distance. If only this mare had been seriously campaigned as a hunter when she was a little younger! WOW! I bet she would have been the talk of the town!
This mare will be bred to stallions with the hunter ring in mind. She should produce fabulous "A" show propects.
The conformation shot below was taken at 15 years of age with her heavy in foal to Donatelli. She has not been ridden or worked in many years, yet she still looks GREAT!
Below pictures taken at the ripe "old" age of 17! Even with a touch of arthritis, she is still a fantastic mover and looks as good as any of my mares half her age! :-)
